At the time that I’m writing this, I’ve completed 101 matches in Overwatch’s current beta. It’s affected my normally rigorous workout schedule, my level of contact with friends and family and the number of hours of sleep that I’ve gotten. When I booted up Overwatch to pull that statistic from my Career Profile, I had to consciously force myself to exit the application in order to finish this article. Yes, I have a genuine Overwatch problem, and it’s kind of the greatest thing ever.

Of course, no Heroes of the Storm update would be complete without some balance changes . Chromie and Tracer all saw buffs and nerfs to a few of their talents. Johanna and Zul’jin did as well, though the former’s Shield Glare had its mana cost increased, while the latter’s You Want Axe? trait was improved. Auriel, on the other hand, received buffs to her Bestow Hope trait and several of her talents that will aid her healing, damage, and survivabil

In addition to the Concussion Mine, Junkrat’s Steel Trap is effective when used strategically. By placing a large bear trap on the ground, Junkrat has the ability to lock any foe who walks over it in place for a set amount of time. Not only does this make it super simple to eliminate players with the Frag Launcher, but it also is going to enable other players to get easy eliminations as well. Finally, Junkrat has one of the most devastating ultimates out of the entire roster, as his Rip-Tire can be steered into groups of enemies before it’s remotely detonated. Needless to say, the keys to the Rip-Tire are pretty simple: guide it into a group of enemies (often on the objective) and ensure that Junkrat is hidden while he’s controlling it.

There’s a number of good explanations as to why Overwatch is such a fantastic game, but none greater than Blizzard’s clear emphasis on making a shooter that feel awesome to play. Every character is immediately readable, meaning that the more that you play, the more knowledge you gain and, thus, the more your strategy evolves. Throughout my time with Overwatch, I have yet to encounter a dropped frame or a moment of lag, despite having every graphics setting maxed out and the servers existing in a beta state. Its shooting is as tight as a Call of Duty or Counter-Strike game, and the sheer number of colors on screen at any given moment finds a way to fill me with glee during even those frustrating moments when your team is getting throttled. Outside of playing Overwatch at the past two PAX Easts, it found a way to completely fly under my radar, and I couldn’t feel dumber for brushing it off. At this moment, the only negative thing that I can say about it is that I do not want to spend a moment playing it on a console, as Overwatch feels far too good with a mouse and keyboard.

June 2, 2025, is the 10-year anniversary of Heroes of the Storm , so it is fitting that Heroes Brawl has returned for the MOBA’s big year. This is a huge win for fans of the Blizzard MOBA – and many players are hoping it might be yet another prelude to an official revival of Heroes of the Sto

To that end, there’s only so far community/consumer-made satire can go and as hilarious or as insightful or indeed unsettling some of these «creations» might be, we’re not the ones in charge. Or better put, the ones who lie on the other side of that seemingly impervious wall that separates «the industry» from the rest of us. If there’s ever to be a time when that barricade at least feels like it’s been breached, it’s when a developer or creator does the [hard] work for us. So when the likes of Hideo Kojima proves (yet again) he’s more than happy to poke fun at what should be his pride-and-joy …that’s great. Admittedly funny too, while I’m at it. It’s great because, as mentioned, it helps de-myth this alleged disconnect…and proves that those working hard behind the scenes, are not (as much as you might think) all in it for the green. That some of them actually care about the reaction and presentation of certain themes, characters, Overwatchtactics.Com whatever as they as much the critically-analysed presentation of the end product.

With Overwatch, the charming hero shooter from Blizzard, launching this week, we want to make sure that you’re as prepared as possible to help your team dominate. Overwatch’s main focus is clearly on the interplay between its dynamic characters, so in order to become competent, you’ll need to understand how every character works. Throughout the week, we’ll be publishing guides on each of the 21 launch heroes, three at a time, with the hopes that you’ll be able to recognize certain patterns on the battlefield.

Perhaps the biggest troll of the entire roster, Junkrat thrives on blocking off pathways and causing straight up chaos on the battlefield. His main weapon, the Frag Launcher, allows him to lob and bounce explosives that have a short detonation delay (unless they directly impact a player). Because of this, Junkrat is able to utilize cover, large walls and corners all while still being able to cause massive amounts of damage to opposing teams. If you’re not constantly firing grenades and using projectiles to force players onto alternate paths, you’re playing this character incorrectly. In addition to being able to manually launch grenades, his Total Mayhem perk automatically drops grenades upon player death, meaning that you can essentially play as a martyr if all else fails. Not only does Total Mayhem work as a method of frustrating other players, but it’s absolutely devastating against characters who dare to get too close.
